The B850 Aorus Elite WiFi7 is the safe answer to 'which board for my first AM5 build': TechPowerUp measured the best Gen5 SSD cooling they had seen at the price, Tom's called it a good overall value entry to AM5, and the FPS Review ran a 9950X with PBO on it without drama. At today's ~$190 it undercuts its own reviews' price.
Best for: First AM5 builds and sensible midrange gaming rigs.
Skip it if: You need USB4 or fast secondary PCIe slots - the two extra slots are PCIe 3.0 x1.
