How Our Data Works

Our performance scores are based on aggregated benchmark data from real-world testing. We maintain a database of hundreds of CPUs, GPUs, motherboards, RAM kits, and cases with regularly updated pricing from major retailers. Our bottleneck calculations use resolution-weighted scoring - because a CPU bottleneck at 1080p can disappear at 4K, and vice versa.

Who We Are

BottleneckPC is operated by Softseer LLC. We're a small team of PC hardware enthusiasts and software developers who got tired of seeing outdated or misleading bottleneck calculators. We built the tools we wished existed - ones that use real benchmark data, account for resolution differences, and give actionable upgrade suggestions instead of vague percentages.
